CBSPD Study Guide
CBSPD doesn't publish an official study manual — but that doesn't mean you can't prepare effectively. Here's exactly what to use.
The CBSPD Study Material Problem
Unlike HSPA (which publishes the Training Manual for Central Service Technicians, now in its 9th Edition), CBSPD does not produce or endorse any specific study textbook. This creates a challenge for candidates who don't know what to study from.
What to Use Instead
The CBSPD exam tests the same core sterile processing knowledge as the CRCST. Both exams cover decontamination, sterilization, infection prevention, instrumentation, and quality assurance. This means the HSPA manual remains the best comprehensive study resource, even for CBSPD candidates.
