About the CBSPD Exam
The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) offers the CSPDT credential — an alternative to HSPA's CRCST. While the exams are administered by different organizations, they test the same core competencies: decontamination, sterilization, instrument processing, infection prevention, and quality assurance.

The CBSPD Study Material Problem
Unlike HSPA (which publishes the official Training Manual), CBSPD does not publish its own study manual. This is the biggest challenge CBSPD candidates face — there's no single "official" book to study from.
